A visitor (f, 78) suffered a medical event near the foot of Malham Cove. An ambulance was called and YAS asked CRO to attend, also. Members in the first team vehicle reached the casualty site very soon after the paramedics began their assessment of the patient, who seemed to be improving. She was assisted to the team vehicle and driven to Town Head Farm for transfer to the road ambulance. After further assessment by the paramedics, the patient re-joined family and friends in their car, undertaking to visit a hospital nearer home as a precaution. Members in the second team vehicle were delayed by heavy traffic (in both directions) which was attempting to pass a stranded, damaged car, South of Kirkby Malham School. Consequently, the the patient was already in the ambulance when they arrived on scene.
