North Yorkshire Police called for assistance in rescuing a sheep which had fallen into Hull Pot. A small team was dispatched. While one team member abseiled approximately 18m down to the sheep and persuaded it into a flight bag, four other team members set up a hauling system. The sheep was brought to the surface and turned over to the farmer who owned it, looking somewhat dishevelled from its experience in the pothole but no worse as a result of its journey out.
