A young person was attempting the 3 peaks walk with a school group when he developed pain in his right upper leg and found himself unable to continue walking beyond the summit shelter on Ingleborough. Two teachers waited with him while the rest of his group continued their walk. CRO team members were able to drive as far as Crina Bottom, before continuing to the summit on foot. The young person was assessed and treated for his leg injury, evacuated by stretcher to Crina Bottom and onwards to Ingleton in a CRO Landrover. He was passed to the care of YAS paramedics for his journey to hospital by ambulance.
