INCIDENT 85/2020 – Dec. 28th. 17.36 – Ingleborough, North Yorkshire – Local Incident
NYP received a report of an orange flare over Ingleborough and asked CRO to investigate. Although doubtful that anyone would be in distress, given how few walkers carry flares and the other methods of communication available, these days, controllers recorded the registration marks of vehicles parked around the hill. INCIDENT 14/2020 – Mar. 5th. Thu. 18.55hrs – Ingleborough – Local Incident
North Yorkshire Police received independent reports of flares seen over the summit of Ingleborough. Although such reports have not resulted in an actual rescue for a very long time, team members undertook a search of the summit of Ingleborough and approaches. No-one was found, nor were any further emergency calls received. Eventually, the team stood down. Conjecture suggests that it was an unknown helicopter. Volunteer hours: 19

A motorist, near Sannat Hall, reported seeing a light being flashed in lots of three. Each time the DC called his number, it went to Voicemail, so a team member drove up Silverdale for a look around.
