INCIDENT 79/2020 – Nov. 22nd Sun. 17.56 – Airton, North Yorkshire – Local Incident

NYP asked for assistance in finding someone, believed to be at risk, missing in the Airton area since about 15.40. However, just as the first team member arrived on scene, police officers found her ‘safe and well’, so team members stood down. Members of UWFRA were on stand-by, in case a wider area search was needed. Volunteer Hours: 15  

Incident 03/2016 – January 30th Sat 13.39 – Airton, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue

A walker (f, 69), sustained a suspected fractured ankle whilst walking with a group in fields near the River Aire. CRO responded to the casualty’s location, and after carrying out first aid and splinting the injury, the casualty was stretchered to an ambulance at Town End Farm shop, Airton for transport to Airedale Hospital.
