INCIDENT 68/2018 – Dec. 4th. Tue. 12.37hrs – Watlowes (‘Dry Valley’), Malham, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue

A walker (f, 60) slipped on wet limestone, twisting her knee, so that she couldn’t walk. Having immobilised her leg, CRO members helped her onto a stretcher and sledged/carried her to a team vehicle, then drove her down to Malham car park, to meet the road ambulance. After assessment by Yorkshire Ambulance Service paramedics, she was transferred to the family car for the journey to a hospital near her home.
