INCIDENT 55/2019 – July 13th. Sat. 09.37hrs – Whernside, North Yorkshire – Mountain Incident

A fell runner (f,50) slipped and fell near Grain Head above Blea Moor tunnel, sustaining a deep laceration to her forehead, and injuring her nose and cheek. Her companions dealt with the immediate bleeding, but the casualty felt too unwell to walk, so MR were requested. The team responded and the casualty was assessed and her wounds dressed before she was stretchered down to a team vehicle at the aqueduct, and then  transported to her companions car back at Ribblehead, who took her to hospital for further treatment.
