A dog was reported to have been spooked by an unusual noise whilst walking with it’s owners on a footpath near to Ingleton Quarry. The dog had bolted under the quarry boundary fence and fell about 10 metres down the quarry face on to a ledge. The quarry manager was informed, before a CRO team member was lowered on ropes down the quarry face to the ledge. The dog was found to be alive and was hauled back up the quarry face in the company of the CRO team member. The dog was returned to it’s owners and seemed well in spite of its ordeal.
