Our colleagues at Yorkshire Ambulance Service requested the team’s assistance with a walker (f, 26) who had injured her lower leg on the path from Pen y Ghent summit down toward Hull Pot. Two team vehicles drove up to the top of the track near Hull Pot, with team members and a YAS paramedic continuing on foot to the casualty’s location. Once the casualty had been been assessed and splinted, she was stretchered to a team vehicle and then driven off the hill with other members of her party to a YAS ambulance at the roadhead. Thanks also to our colleagues at Yorkshire Air Ambulance, who were monitoring the incident and ready to assist if the injury had turned out to be more serious.
