As members were arriving at the Giggleswick incident (No. 27), the YAS Emergency Operations Centre contacted CRO again, this time with a request to go to the aid of a visitor (f, 45) who had injured an ankle when she slipped on wet rocks, a little way below Thornton Force on the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail. Some members were diverted from the Giggleswick incident and others from an ‘awareness’ event. They immobilised the ankle then stretchered the casualty to a team Land Rover, which drove her to the road-head on the Kingsdale road. Here she was transferred to a NWAS road ambulance for the journey to hospital and the team stood down.
