The team were called by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to a walker (f,15) unconscious ‘1 mile north of Malham Cove’. The map reference passed to the team placed the casualty in the Irish Sea. Attempts to verify the location by other means were unsuccessful, so the team were asked to gather at the information centre at Malham to begin attempts to locate the casualty.
As the first team vehicle arrived, the ambulance crew allocated to the incident reported that they had located and were treating the casualty, who had been walked down to Cove Road by her party, from the steps to the west of Malham Cove. The team were subsequently stood down. Volunteer hours: 16.5
