The team were called by North West Ambulance Service to a report of a child (f,14) sustaining an ankle injury in woods some distance from the nearest road access. A small team attended, and made their way to the casualty. A team paramedic administered pain relief and attempted to reduce the fracture, without success. The casualty was splinted and placed onto a wheeled team stretcher and taken up to Barkin Gate Farm and handed over to the road ambulance crew, for transport to hospital.
