Incident 20/2016 – April 12th Tue. 15.05 – Whernside, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue

The team were called by North Yorkshire Police to a member of a D of E party (f,17) trapped in a bog and sinking, on ‘Whernside, east of Deepdale’. CRO teams searched the area around their last known location, but had difficulty locating them due to poor visibility. Incident 18/2016 – April 10th Sun. 15:20 – A65, Newby, North Yorkshire – Local Incident (RTC)

Whilst returning from the incident at Ribblehead, one of our vehicles came across a road traffic collision involving a motorcyclist. Team members provided initial first aid and called the Police and Ambulance Service. Once the ambulance servcie attended, team members handed over to them, and returned to base. Volunteer hours: 3

Cubs visit CRO

Twenty-five Cubs and their leaders, from Ingleton Cub Scout Pack, enjoyed a tour of the CRO Base, at Clapham, on Tuesday evening.  They saw the team’s equipment, vehicles and control room, then heard about the varied role that CRO plays in going to the aid of local people and active visitors.  After a quick drink, they followed Search Dog Glen and Future Search Dog  Angus to Clapham Car Park, where the Border Collies demonstrated…
