A walker (m,28), wearing trainers, slipped on snow or ice when beginning to descend from Little Ingleborough towards Gaping Gill and sustained a suspected shoulder dislocation. Incident 5/2017 – Jan 14th Sat. 16.04 – Pen y ghent, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue.

Before the previous incident was quite concluded, there was a call to go to a walker (f,32) who had suffered a knee-cap dislocation ’15 minutes from the trig point’ on the main path down from Pen y ghent towards Horton in Ribblesdale. Incident 4/2017 – Jan 14th Sat. 13.51 – Ingleborough, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue.

A CRO member (former Chairman and controller), out for a walk, reported that a walker (m,12) had sustained an ankle injury, 50m from the summit of Ingleborough, on the path towards Ingleton. He used his own emergency equipment to keep the boy warm until help arrived.
