A climber (m,57) fell approximately 10 metres, sustaining shoulder and head injuries, whilst climbing at Robin Proctor’s Scar, Austwick. Team members assisted a Yorkshire Ambulance Service paramedic in accessing the casualty, and packaged him for a lower by stretcher down the scree slope below the climb, to a waiting team vehicle. The team were requested by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to attend a report of a person (f, 37) ‘fallen from a wall, 200m from Settle Golf Club’. Because of an ongoing incident, a reduced team responded from Horton in Ribblesdale to provide assistance to the ambulance service. A climber (m) fell approximately ten metres from the East Wing of the Cove, sustaining suspected back and neck injuries. After assessment by Yorkshire Ambulance Service paramedics, he was placed in a vacuum mattress (whole-body splint) and on to a Bell mountain rescue stretcher.
