Incident 32/2026, Thursday 28th May 13:57 hrs. Footpath nr Austwick, North Yorkshire

The team were called by North Yorkshire Police to an walker (f, 58) who had slipped and injured her ankle on the footpath between Clapham and Austwick.

Whilst the first team members to arrive made their way to the casualty on foot, other team members managed to find a route to drive the vehicles through a neighbouring farm right up to the casualty’s location. Once she had been assessed and the injured ankle splinted she was helped into a team Landrover and driven back to our depot in Clapham to wait for a Yorkshire Ambulance Service ambulance to transport her to hospital for treatment.

We wish our casualty a speedy recovery.
