Incident 15/2026. March 30th Monday 09.45hrs. Pen Y Ghent, North Yorkshire

The team were contacted by North Yorkshire Police regarding a 3 peaks walker (m,16) who had fallen ‘approximately 5 feet’ and sustained an injury to his arm. The other members of the party provided the casualty with analgesia and physical support in order to effect a self rescue. CRO deployed a small team and CRO2 to intercept the party. After meeting the casualty party and completing a casualty assement, the party were conveyed in CRO2 to Horton in Ribblesdale where they were handed over to their own support team.

The CRO on call Duty Controller would like to commend this party of young adults for doing the right thing by realising they needed help, calling 999 and asking for Police, and then Mountain Rescue, and then supporting the casualty until assistance arrived.
