INCIDENT 72/2025. AUGUST 25th  MON. 18.16 hrs INGLEBOROUGH, INGLETON, NORTH YORKSHIRE.

A Three Peaks walker (f, 55) experienced pain in one knee on the descent from Whernside. This had worsened by the time she reached Ingleborough so she was unable to put any weight on it as she left the summit plateau. In the really dry conditions, team vehicles were taken quite a way up Little Ingleborough then members  continued on foot to the summit and just over the eastern ‘corner’ with the necessary equipment. After assessment by the team doctor, the leg was splinted and the casualty carried and wheeled down to a waiting Land Rover. This took her to Clapham for transfer to a family car,
