The Team were alerted by North Yorkshire Police, requesting assistance with a walker (F, 54) who had sustained an ankle injury whilst descending the summit ridge from Whernside. The walker was unable to bear weight on the injured leg, and could not continue walking. Members were despatched to the scene and, having located the casualty, splinted the ankle and stretchered her down to the waiting Team vehicles. She was then reunited with her friends who arranged to transport her to hospital for further treatment. We wish her a speedy recovery.
