A strong team of CRO members attended the 68th Annual Three Peaks Race, based at Horton in Ribblesdale, to carry out ‘kit checks’ on as many as practical of the 699 runners before the start of this ‘marathon with mountains’, then to provide rescue cover. Fortunately, the day passed off with a call to only one injured competitor (See incident no 2023/26.), although one or two retired, back-tracking runners caused a little confusion later in the day. Then there was ‘the cyclist’ . . . .
