The team were called by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to a walker (f,15) unconscious ‘1 mile north of Malham Cove’. The map reference passed to the team placed the casualty in the Irish Sea. Incident 22/2016 – April 15th Fri. 14.07 – Malham Cove, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue
A walker (f,70) damaged her left knee after slipping whilst crossing wet limestone pavement on top of Malham Cove. Team members made the casualty comfortable whilst the Yorkshire Air Ambulance crew tended to her injury. She was then carried by stretcher to the air ambulance, for an airlift to hospital. Incident 21/2016 – April 13th Tue. 15.05 – Janet’s Foss, Malham, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue
A walker (m,69) was reported to have fallen and suffered an ankle injury on a wooded path near Janet’s Foss. Team members quickly transported the walker by stretcher to a CRO vehicle, and he was then driven to a road ambulance at Malham National Park Visitor Centre for transfer to hospital. Incident 19/2016 – April 11th Mon. 19.03 – Ingleborough, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue
Two walkers (f, 30,32) reported themselves lost coming off Ingleborough towards Horton in Ribblesdale. Contact with them by mobile phone established that they were descending into Chapel le Dale from Park Fell. They were eventually met at the Hill Inn.
