The Team were alerted by North Yorkshire Police after they had been contacted by a passing walker to a possible incident. The man had seen, from a distance, a hound (which was part of a pack being trailed on Studrigg Scar) apparently tumbling down a steep bank. He had seen the hound get up but had seen nothing beyond that and was concerned as to its’ welfare. Neither the police nor the Team received any further requests from an owner or other party for assistance, and no reports were received re any injured animals. We spoke with the informant and thanked him for his concern and the log was closed, pending any further notifications.
