Yorkshire Ambulance Service asked for assistance, following receipt of a 999 call saying that a walker had fallen and had been feeling dizzy, on the path from Gordale Bridge over to Malham Cove. When the CRO duty controller called the Emergency Operations Centre, he was told that an ambulance was en route, but there had been a further call to say that the patient had walked into the National Park Centre. A ‘stand down’ was agreed and a call to the NP Centre confirmed that the ambulance paramedics were with the patient
