The team were called by North Yorkshire Police to assist a local farmer with a sheep trapped in a small pothole. A small team met the farmer at the location to be confronted with a large sheep that was firmly wedged in a narrow shaft. After two hours of digging away soil and boulders sufficient space was created for the animal to wriggle backwards, then with combined tactics the sheep was lifted and hauled to the surface. It was reunited with the farmer apparently non the worse for the ordeal.
