A farmer’s wife posted a request on Facebook to rescue a sheep from Cowskull Pot (near the Pennine Way, North of Horton). Team members returning from the previous incident diverted to Horton, but as they were approaching the site, the duty controller received a phone call advising that friends of the farmer would be able to abseil in to the hole and recover the animal. The CRO members continued to the hole ‘just in case’ and found that the sheep had gone.
