A fell-runner (m, 38) called NYP to say that he was on Ingleborough and stuck in a snowdrift. He said he had 10% phone battery, was in running gear, with a head torch, but no injuries. 24 seconds later, a further call was received and that became incident no 95.
Members were warned to be ready to go out, but while the duty controller was attempting to confirm the locations of the two callers, NYP advised that the runner was safely on his way down to Ingleton and the team could stand down on that call.
