A Three Peaks walker (f, 20) suffered crippling abdominal pain, causing her to faint momentarily on the summit of Whernside – her final peak of the three. The team responded, also requesting an air ambulance, but the YAS clinical hub decided that the casualty had rallied sufficiently to be classed as ‘walking wounded’.
