INCIDENT 88/2023 DEC 16TH SAT 14.55 MALHAM COVE, MALHAM, NORTH YORKSHIRE
The Team were called by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with a visitor (M, 25yrs) who had tripped and dislocated his knee on the top of Malham Cove. As the Team were mobilising to the site, our partners from Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA) arrived on scene and were able to land close to the site. As the team were cleaning equipment from Incident 87 they received a call from North Yorkshire Police that a group of walkers had not returned from a walk in the Malham Tarn area. After making further enquiries, the Duty Controller confirmed that the overdue party were accounted for and safe so the team was stood down. Volunteer hours: 1
INCIDENT 85/2023 OCT 22nd SUN. 14.58 WINSKILL STONES, LANGCLIFFE, NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT
Yorkshire Ambulance Service requested CRO’s assistance with a casualty (f, 38) who had reportedly injured her ankle and was unable to walk. When the YAS paramedics and the first CRO members reached the casualty’s supposed location, the casualty was nowhere to be found. Further inquiries determined that her party had managed to get her off the hill and transported her to hospital. VOLUNTEER HOURS: 7
