A runner (f,41) competing in a fell-race, tripped and fell, descending from Pikedaw Hill, sustaining shoulder and knee injuries. After ‘packaging’ by CRO members, she was lifted off by air ambulance, then transferred to a road ambulance for transport to hospital.
