Incident 31/2018 – May 29th Tue. 13.22 Little Ingleborough, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue

A male walker began to suffer chest pain and dizziness whilst ascending Little Ingleborough, beyond Gaping Gill. The team were called by Yorkshire Ambulance Service, and a vehicle was immediately dispatched from our base in Clapham, fortunately staffed following a meeting that morning.

Meanwhile, team members attending the Gaping Gill Winch Meet, together with trained members of Bradford Pothole Club, were able to quickly reach the casualty and begin casualty care. An air ambulance was also rapidly on scene, and following treatment from the air ambulance staff, the casualty was carried to the helicopter on a team stretcher, for conveyance to hospital for further treatment. Thanks to Bradford Pothole Club members for their assistance on this call.
