Incident 35/2018 – Jun. 4th Mon 05.32 Lost John’s System, Leck, Lancashire – Cave Rescue

Two cavers were reported to be more than five hours overdue from a through trip between Lost John’s and Notts 2, which they had estimated would take four hours (20.00 Sunday to 00.00 Monday). Alert Only – Dec. 28th Thu. 08.30 – Staithes, Whitby, North Yorkshire, -Police assist

The team were contacted by Cleveland MRT and asked for availability for search of disused railway tunnels in the Whitby area, for a missing person. Team members were asked to declare their availability in preparation for sending a party to assist. Incident 88/2017 – Dec. 8th Fri. 09.00 – Ewes Top Moss Pot, Scales Moor, North Yorkshire – Cave Rescue

The team were contacted by North Yorkshire Police, and asked to conduct a search of the ground, sinkholes and potholes on Scales Moor, in connection with the search for a missing person. A team member entering Ewes Top Moss Pot discovered the body of a caver (m, 68).
