CRO were called to assist a walker who had reported himself stranded in high winds on Whernside. Further investigation by CRO team leaders and use of a computer based “phone find” tool placed the walker on Great Whernside, near Kettlewell and not on the “3-peaks” Whernside within CRO’s operational area. A walker was reported to be having difficulty with his dog, which was described as ‘panicking’, near the top of the lower fall in Gordale Scar.
