INCIDENT 31/2020 – Jul. 8th. Wed 13.55hrs – Foxup, Littondale – Mountain Incident

CRO were called by our neighbours, Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UWFRA), to assist with an incident near Foxup. A 74 year old male had been injured when he was thrown off his quad bike on the slopes of Plover Hill. The injured person was cared for by Yorkshire Air Ambulance paramedics and transferred to hospital in their aircraft. Volunteer hours: 10

INCIDENT 22/2020 – Jun. 7th. Sun. 12.02hrs – Bottom Wood, Roeburndale, Lancashire – Mountain Incident

The team were called by North West Ambulance Service to a report of a child (f,14) sustaining an ankle injury in woods some distance from the nearest road access. A small team attended, and made their way to the casualty. A team paramedic administered pain relief and attempted to reduce the fracture, without success.
