CRO were called out to assist a walker with a head injury sustained from a fall on the waterfalls walk. The first CRO team member on scene found that the injured person was already in the care of Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) paramedics at Beezley farm. A young person (f 13) twisted her ankle whilst on a day out on the waterfalls walk with her family. INCIDENT 67/2021 – AUGUST 26th THUR. 21.32 – INGLEBOROUGH, NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

A family of six (2 adults & 4 children) had reached the summit of Ingleborough and intended to follow the path to Horton in Ribblesdale to complete their three peaks walk. They reported themselves lost after darkness came. A walker was reported to be having difficulty with his dog, which was described as ‘panicking’, near the top of the lower fall in Gordale Scar. When the duty controller phoned the reporting person, he was told that other walkers had helped the walker and dog up to safety. CRO’s assistance was not needed. Volunteer hours: 0.25
