A visitor (m, 70) was reported to be ‘clammy, vomiting, short of breath’ on the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail between Pecca Falls and Thornton Force. ALERT only. OCT. 6th THU. 16.12 – Nr BEEZLEY FALLS, INGLETON, NORTH YORKSHIRE – ALERT No 5 of 2022

YAS asked for CRO’s assistance when a visitor (f, 73) fell ’10 minutes from Beezleys on the Ingleton Waterfalls trail’. Local members were put on stand-by, but when the duty controller phoned the paramedics, they were almost on scene and thought that CRO was probably not needed. Members waited at home or at work until the ‘stand down’ was confirmed. Volunteer hours: 2  

INCIDENT 82/2022  OCT. 2nd SUN. 14.20 TOP OF MALHAM COVE, MALHAM, NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

A walker (f, 58) slipped on the limestone pavement at the top of Malham Cove, sustaining ankle and lower leg injuries. Her husband helped her to the grassy bank behind the limestone pavement, then called the Police. Two Three Peaks walkers (f, 39 and 34) reported themselves lost, coming off Ingleborough, with one torch and only one of their mobile phones still working as darkness fell. The duty controller sent them a PhoneFind text message and their response placed them on Newby Moss on the route down from Little Ingleborough to Newby Cote.
